Former U.S. Ambassador Taylor Discusses Congressional Election Impact on Ukraine Support

In a recent discussion regarding the potential effects of the upcoming elections in November, former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine, Bill Taylor, highlighted the enduring support for Ukraine among the American public.
“Congress has clearly expressed its backing for Ukraine in its fight against Russia. The delegation of congressmen visiting Ankara demonstrates this support effectively. Similarly, when you ask Americans about their views on Ukrainians, the majority believes that support for Ukraine should be strengthened,” he stated.
According to Taylor, the current administration is also likely to continue this trend. “I don’t think these elections will have a significant impact, as the general level of support is already present,” he emphasized.
Additionally, Taylor pointed out Ukraine’s role as a contributor to security, stating it is fulfilling the purpose for which NATO was formed—deterring Russia.
