Ukrainian Defense Forces Achieve Record Success in June

In June, Ukrainian defense officials reported significant achievements, including the elimination or severe wounding of almost 28,000 Russian soldiers. The increase in strikes against targets in occupied Crimea was also notable, emphasizing the focus on disrupting enemy logistics.
According to Defense Minister Oleksiy Fedorov, the strategy centered around destroying enemy supply routes, warehouses, and transport capabilities, which limits the invaders’ ability to support their troops.
- They targeted and destroyed a record amount of Russian artillery;
- Intercepted 49,575 enemy missiles and drones, marking the highest tally to date;
- Set an absolute record for the destruction of Russian vehicles and motorcycles.
Additionally, June became a landmark month for Ukrainian attacks on Russian military-industrial complex facilities, with significant strikes on the Moscow oil refinery occurring on June 16 and 18. These actions disrupted Russian military logistics and fuel supplies, leading to restrictions on gasoline sales in Russia and temporarily occupied territories.
On June 24, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Jeremy Levin stated that the U.S. Department of State believes Ukraine is currently winning the war.
