Investigation Underway Following Bomber Crash in Khmelnytskyi Region

Authorities have confirmed that the aircraft involved in the crash in the Khmelnytskyi region was on its second flight of the day. The State Bureau of Investigations (DBR) stated that all operational documentation was properly completed.
The pilots were executing a combat mission, although details are being withheld for national security reasons. Additionally, the DBR has denied rumors circulating online about one of the pilots allegedly ejecting from the aircraft.
As part of the investigation, detectives have conducted numerous interviews, including with family members of the deceased, command staff, and fellow service members. Witnesses reported that both pilots underwent the required medical examinations before the flight, expressed no health concerns, and were in good spirits.
According to reports, the pilots were well-respected professionals with no significant personal issues that might impact the investigation. Currently, a separate military investigation is being conducted by the command of the Ukrainian Air Force. Upon completion, an independent aviation technical examination will be initiated, as indicated by the bureau.
