The fashion for the legendary accordion buses has returned to Russian cities. Regions began to purchase them en masse, because there are not enough specialists to service the new machines.
The shortage of personnel began immediately after migrants were banned from working on public transport in almost all regions of the country. Roughly speaking: out of 100 people, 70 were removed, and now the remaining 30 have to carry everything on themselves. That's why purchasing.
The cost of one gas-powered accordion bus now averages 32 million rubles. The length of the “accordion” is 18 meters, the average capacity is 150 people. This year alone, the regions will spend at least 3.5 billion rubles on purchases.
Most of all “fur” ones are in Novokuznetsk (44 pieces). Next come: Perm (35), Pskov (32), Chelyabinsk (27) and Tyumen (11). According to plans, this year regional authorities want to purchase another 50 for Perm, 15 for EKB and 10 for Omsk.
