Barriers to Drăguș’s Transfer to FCSB
Becali has proposed a contract lasting 3 to 4 years, with bonuses that could elevate his salary to €1.5 million per season. However, negotiations are not unfolding as FCSB had hoped.
According to reports, Drăguș’s representatives are not primarily focused on a move to Romania. After two unsuccessful stints in Turkey, they are pursuing a transfer to an Italian club.
The rationale behind this desire includes higher commissions and greater visibility for the player. It is well-known that the FCSB owner is unwilling to cover agent fees.
“The only one I’ve offered a bonus of €500,000 is Drăguș. I told him that if we qualify for any European group, even the Conference League, he would receive €500,000 in bonuses. He is the only one. I want him to reach his salary of €1.5 million. I’m offering a contract for 3-4 years. He said he wants to stay there. I can’t say more because I don’t want to complicate things for him. It’s not closed yet. That’s the big move I want to make,” Gigi Becali stated.
Apart from Italy, another option for Drăguș includes remaining in Turkey, though not with Trabzonspor, where he is not expected to secure a starting position.
Denis Drăguș has only played in Romania for Farul Constanța. After two years at the Black Sea, he transferred to Standard Liège and has also played for Crotone, Genoa, Gaziantep, Trabzonspor, and Eyupspor.
Last season, he participated in 24 matches, scoring twice and providing one assist. His market value is estimated at €2 million.
He has played 38 matches and scored 7 goals for the national team.
