In mid -September, the Czech carrier Regiojet began piloting the connection Krakow – Warsaw. The attention of travelers was attracted by low ticket prices available in four different variants, and a gastronomic offer. Earlier reports have been confirmed that meal costs would be lower than the PKP compositions.

The first connection tests between Krakow and Warsaw began on September 18, but regular courses will take place from December 14. Currently, trains run according to individual schedule, which is why the travel times are elongated. Regiojet also plans routes between Warsaw and Poznań, Krakow and Gdynia as well as Warsaw and Prague.
Cheesecake for PLN 2, coffee for free
The gastronomic offer in Regio is available through a mobile application. As the first travelers have already noted, prices are clearly different from those known from PKP trains.
Meal prices in regojeet so far blame … positive!
In the country where #paragonygrose Someone suddenly offers a normal cake for 2 PLN 🫣

We will pay PLN 2 for a cheesecake or apple pie, for a tortilla with chicken PLN 8, and for a croissant with ham and cheese PLN 4.5. According to the railway market, meals are not prepared on site, but only reheated, and regio does not have restaurant wagons. The carrier cooperates with local suppliers in completing the menu, it can also be seen that the card did not include Czech dishes.
The rumors were confirmed
The first voices about meals from the Czech carrier appeared in August this year. The menu available on the regiojet website allowed to claim that also the compositions of riding in Poland will be available, e.g. alcohol or beef with dumplings. The representatives of the carrier maintained that the price list applies only to trains in the Czech Republic, but after starting in Poland it can be expected that some of the prices will be similar to the Czech ones.
Travelers also wonder how long the current prices will be maintained. Some are afraid that with time, when Regiojt begins to drive regularly, the costs of meals will increase, but others pay attention to the Czech market, where the conditions still remain attractive. On the carrier's website, however, we read that catering prices are final and the offer will be expanded.
Catering prices, however, are final prices. We do not have a classic wagon, our approach is based on not to need to take unhealthy snacks on a journey, but they can buy healthy meals for adequate prices from us. During the pilot period, the scope of catering will be constantly supplemented – we will gladly accept high -quality Polish products. Regiojet has 4 classes, in 3 of them we offer free coffee, cappuccino or latte without restrictions.
