The apparatchik-hydrometallurgist “Norilsk Nickel” has become the hero of the labor of the Russian Federation

Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded the title of the hero of labor to an employee of Norilsk Nickel.

The reward was received by the apparatchik-hydrometallurg from the Krasnoyarsk Territory Alexander Khokhlachev. He works at the Nadezhdinsky Metallurgical Plant named after B. I. Kolesnikov. The work experience in the company is 45 years.

The company notes that Alexander Khokhlachev took part in the development and implementation of new technologies in production, which made it possible to increase the production of nickel and copper, worked on the implementation of the Sulfur Program, an increase in production safety and the processes of import substitution of equipment and materials.

The title of “Hero of Labor of the Russian Federation” is the highest state award of the Russian Federation for special work merits to the state and people related to the achievement of outstanding results in state, public and economic activities aimed at ensuring the well -being and prosperity of Russia. This is an analogue of the Soviet title of Hero of Socialist Labor, a symbol of the highest recognition of selfless labor for the good of the Motherland. The initiative of the revival in Russia the title of “Hero of Labor” in 2013 was supported by the president of the country. In total, 119 people received this award.

In addition to Alexander Khokhlachev, two more Norilsk Nickel employees received state awards.
