In addition, VeloBank purchases the entire portfolio of services for individuals and micro-enterprises: from the wealth management segment and brokerage services, through credit cards, loans and retail loans, to the physical branch network.
In turn, Bank Handlowy – one of the oldest Polish banks, 75 percent controlled by the American giant Citibank and present on the Warsaw Stock Exchange since 1997 – decided to almost completely retreat from the traditional individual client. Citi Handlowy's structures will retain only a niche, retail portfolio of mortgage loans denominated in foreign currencies, the value of which is estimated at approximately PLN 24 million.
