AUR leader, about the appointment made by Nicușor Dan: “Out of desperation, they are trying to break some liberals”

Senator Petrișor Peiu, number 2 in the AUR, qualified the appointment by President Nicușor Dan of the head of CJ Brașov for the position of prime minister as a “desperate” gesture.
“Desperation. The effect of desperation. Everyone knew that Eugen Tomac has no chance and out of desperation he is trying to break some liberals,” the president of the National Leadership Council of AUR told the Daily newspaper.
The leader of the party led by George Simion claims that “theoretically” a future Vestea Government has more chances to be voted in the Parliament.
“But the purpose of this appointment is to break from the PNL votes a number of several dozen votes that, added to the PSD votes, allow the passage of a government”, Peiu appreciated.
He believes that both proposals made by the head of state are not appropriate.
“He is a screen for Nicușor Dan's government and, at the same time, he is a person who does not have a very pronounced political profile,” Peiu said.
President Nicușor Dan announced, on Sunday morning, that Adrian Veștea, president of CJ Brașov and first vice-president of PNL, is the new designated prime minister, after Eugen Tomac submitted his mandate.
