A tourist died in June avalanche in Sochi
29-year-old Kristina Lilenko and her mother were walking along an eco-route at the Krasnaya Polyana resort. The women chose a route that was closed to the public.
Suddenly, a snow mass weighing several tons came down from the slope. Both women were swept off the trail.
Christina’s mother escaped with bruises and abrasions, and the girl received multiple injuries. She was hospitalized, but could not be saved.
