Ivan Stepanovich Kolobov, master of communications, Honorary Citizen of the Jewish Autonomous Region, was born in the village of Bidzhan, Jewish Autonomous Region.

Ivan Stepanovich worked as the head of the Amurzet communication center, director of the Amurzet branch of OJSC Telephone and Telegraph Company.

Under his leadership, automatic telephone exchanges were installed in the Oktyabrsky district. In the only region of the region, connecting lines between automatic telephone exchanges are organized via cable communication lines, 75% are digital. To meet the sharply increased demand for international telephone calls with China, a telecommunications border crossing was introduced in the village of Amurzet.

Ivan Stepanovich took an active part in public life and was elected people's assessor of the regional court for ten years in a row.

Based on Resolution of the Legislative Assembly of the Jewish Autonomous Region dated February 26, 1997 No. 18, I. S. Kolobov was awarded the title “Honorary Citizen of the Jewish Autonomous Region.”

I. S. Kolobov was awarded the medals “For Labor Distinction,” “For Valiant Labor in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945,” and “Veteran of Labor,” and he was awarded the title “Master of Communications.”

In October 2001, Ivan Stepanovich passed away. There is a memorial plaque installed on the house where he lived.

June 13, 1943

The city Olympiad of children's creativity (6+) was held in the premises of the music school, which was a report on children's amateur performances. The first to speak were the members of the circle of Birobidzhan Jewish School No. 2, they showed a montage on the theme of the heroic exploits of the Red Army, composed of songs and poems about the war. The amateur group of school No. 9 read poetry and sang a number of lyrical songs. An interesting montage “Feat” was presented by the school group No. 8, dedicated to the heroic feat of Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya.

“Students of the music school were represented at the Olympiad with a violin concert. The best numbers from the city Olympiad were selected by a commission to be shown at the regional Olympiad of children’s creativity.”

The Bureau of the Regional Party Committee considered the issue of measures to prepare for the reception of the second group of immigrants from the Vinnitsa region of the Ukrainian SSR. Specific measures have been developed for the reception, accommodation and accommodation of arriving migrants.

In the reference and information publication “Administrative-territorial structure of the Jewish Autonomous Region 1858-2003.” (0+) information is posted that on the basis of the decision of the Oktyabrsky regional executive committee of the Jewish Autonomous Okrug dated June 13, 1963 No. 120, the settlement of the second branch of the Samarsky state farm was given the name Polevoe village.

Information: In 1930, a “collective farm named after Blucher” was formed in the village of Samara. Rice was grown in the fields. The village of Polevoe became its second branch, formed in 1931. At first they lived in tents, then they built barracks. And soon a wooden elementary school appeared on the hill, equipment and electricity appeared.

The village of Polevoe in the Oktyabrsky district of the Jewish Autonomous Region, stands two kilometers from the left bank of the Samara River (a tributary of the Amur).

June 13, 1982

The newspaper “Birobidzhan Star” (12+) wrote on June 13, 1982 that the final stage of the seventh republican competition-exhibition of photographs and photo souvenirs (6+), organized by the Ministry of Consumer Services of the RSFSR, was taking place in Moscow. 340 works by master photographers were presented at this exhibition. According to the results of the competition, the winners included Birobidzhan residents Alla and Gennady Potashov, who took third place.

On the pages of the newspaper it was reported that a group of film artists from the Dovzhenko Film Studio stayed in the city for five days. Alexander Milyutin, Lev Perfilov, Anatoly Pereverzev, known to viewers from the films “Village Detective” (12+), “The Meeting Place Cannot Be Changed” (12+), etc. The actors told residents about their work in cinema and creative plans.
