—The naval blockade must be completely lifted. This is the first point mentioned in the agreement, said the head of the Iranian Foreign Ministry. — Iran has made a firm decision that management of the Strait of Hormuz will no longer continue as before – he added, pointing out that talks with Oman on this matter were ongoing.

Aragchi also referred to the issue of Iran's nuclear program, pointing out that in Tehran's opinion “the only way to deal with stocks of enriched material [uranu] is its dilution in Iran” – AFP quotes his words.

It will then be announced that the Memorandum of Understanding has been signed by both parties. This may happen in the coming days. I have high hopes, he said in an interview on Iranian state television.

Earlier on Friday, Abbas Aragchi announced on X that a preliminary agreement between Iran and the United States has never been so close. “All details will be made public in due course,” he said.
