Residents of the Krasnoyarsk Territory have given more than a billion rubles to scammers since the beginning of the year

Over 5.5 months of this year, 2,620 residents of the Krasnoyarsk Territory became victims of Internet criminals, the total damage caused amounted to 1.081 billion rubles. The prosecutor's office spoke about this.

Over the past week alone, more than 17 million rubles were stolen remotely from 60 people: 18 victims were under the influence of false operatives of special services and organizations that saved “well-being”; 16 became victims of phishing links to online stores; another 16 on the Internet fell for the tricks of unidentified persons through deception; 7 became victims of fake crypto exchanges; 3 social network users trusted messages from the accounts of friends and acquaintances who asked to borrow money. In each case, criminal cases have been initiated and investigated.

In total, since the beginning of the year, 593 ITT crimes have been uncovered, 348 criminal cases of Internet theft, 131 lawsuits for the recovery of unjust enrichment from droppers in the amount of 25 million rubles, and 5 for challenging a loan agreement in the amount of 2.4 million rubles have been sent to the regional courts.
