North Korea is ready to resume dialogue with the USA. There is one condition


Speaking on the forum of the Supreme People's Assembly, Kim said that “he sees no reason” for which his country would avoid dialogue with the USA, if Washington “gives up the absurd obsession of our denuclearization and accepts the realities and will want real peaceful coexistence.”

“I have personal good memories of meetings with the current US president Donald Trump,” said Kim, as Kcna reports. Kim met with Trump three times during his first term in the White House.

Kim added that the production of nuclear weapons is for Pyongyang “a matter of survival in the face of serious threats” from the United States and South Korea. He emphasized that he still rejects the last gestures of Washington and Seoul encouraging dialogue because – as he said – “their primary goal is to weaken his country and destroy his power.

According to Kim, the proposal of Seoul gradually to terminate the nuclear program Pyongyang “confirms these intentions”.

In the years 2006-2017, North Korea made six nuclear trial explosions and continues to expand its nuclear program, despite far-reaching international sanctions.
