June 11 11:40

In Krasnoyarsk, firefighters rescued a 38-year-old woman and a 10-year-old boy from a burning apartment in a high-rise building. This was reported to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

The fire occurred on the evening of June 5 in the Leninsky district. The apartment caught fire on the 12th floor of a 24-story residential building. When the first unit arrived at the scene, open fire was coming from the balcony. A 10-year-old boy was home alone. Despite his fear, he did the right thing and covered his nose and mouth with a wet rag to avoid inhaling smoke. Firefighters carried him up the stairs using a rescue device.

A 38-year-old woman was also rescued from the house. She was at home with her daughter when she heard a bang in the next room. A fire had already started there. The woman took her daughter to neighbors and then returned to the apartment to try to save the property. Firefighters managed to evacuate her before she inhaled smoke.

29 people and 5 pieces of equipment worked on the fire. The fire was extinguished within two hours on an area of 17 square meters. There were no casualties. The fire damaged things in one apartment and plastic windows in another. The reason was the emergency condition of the ceiling lamp.

A few days later, the rescued boy went on an excursion to the fire and rescue department of the Leninsky district. There he met his rescuers and the equipment with which he was taken out of the apartment.
