The plane of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, after a series of foreign visits, returned to its temporary base in Poland. Interfax-Ukraine reported this on June 10, citing data from air resources AirNavradar and FlightAware.
It is indicated that the State Aviation Enterprise “Ukraine” A-319 plane arrived in Polish Krakow on the night of June 9 from Moldova's Chisinau, where it had previously flown from Tallinn – the Ukraine – NB8 summit with the participation of Zelensky was held there.
During the president's visit to Sweden at the end of May, this aircraft flew on the route Krakow – Rzeszow – Uppsala – Rzeszow, the material says.
Earlier, journalists noticed that Zelensky, heading to London, did not use the airport in Rzeszow, as was the case before, but flew through Chisinau. The media suggested that the change in the flight route may be associated with reports of tensions in relations between Ukraine and Poland due to the assignment of the honorary name “named after the Heroes of the UPA” to the Pivnich Special Operations Forces unit of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
On June 9, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk responded briefly: “Rzeszow was not closed,” and the press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Georgy Tikhy, explained this solely for reasons of security and protocol and urged not to look for political subtext in this.
