The innovative development of the Borodino Mechanical Repair Plant was awarded a silver medal at the international specialized exhibition “Russian Subsoil. Coal of Russia and Mining – 2026″, which took place from June 2 to 5 in Novokuznetsk.

“Coal of Russia and Mining” is the country’s largest industry exhibition and one of the leading platforms in Eurasia for demonstrating technologies and equipment for the mining industry. This year it brought together more than 530 manufacturing companies and thousands of specialists from dozens of regions of Russia and foreign countries.

At the exhibition, Borodino RMZ presented an innovative bucket for walking excavators ESH-10/70. The development is distinguished by a lightweight design, increased capacity to 11 cubic meters, wear-resistant working surfaces and cutting elements alloyed with rare earth metal. As a result of innovations, the efficiency of each excavation cycle increases by 10 percent.

“Thanks to new technical solutions, the service life of the bucket increases by one and a half to two times, and its cost remains at the level of a standard bucket for ESh-10/70. In essence, the customer receives more productive and durable equipment at no additional cost. And what’s good is that the new buckets have already gone into mass production,” noted Konstantin Makarov, director of the Borodino RMZ.

New attachments are created and produced in Russia, which makes them a popular solution within the framework of import substitution. Borodino RMZ has been working in this direction since 2012, consistently expanding its range of its own products for the mining industry, and offering enterprises domestic analogues of equipment and components.

Today, plant workers provide spare parts not only to the leading coal mining enterprises of the Krasnoyarsk Territory – Borodinsky, Nazarovsky and Berezovsky open-pit mines (branches of JSC SUEK-Krasnoyarsk), but also to other regions of the country.

The award from the country's largest industry exhibition confirmed the high level of engineering competencies of the enterprise and the importance of the Krasnoyarsk Territory as one of the centers of industrial engineering in Siberia.
