On June 10, employees of the State Bureau of Investigation stopped a car with the former head of the Odessa Regional Center for Recruitment and Social Support, Evgeny Borisov, on the way out of Kyiv and are conducting investigative actions as part of an investigation into the case of laundering illegally obtained funds. This was reported by Ukrayinska Pravda with reference to the received video and a source in law enforcement agencies.
According to the interlocutor, the incident occurred at a checkpoint on the Odessa highway, where law enforcement officers stopped a BMW SUV. Among the passengers was Borisov himself, who is now involved in several criminal proceedings.
Employees of the State Bureau of Investigation are reportedly conducting searches and other investigative actions as part of one of the investigations.
At the moment, the SBI has not officially commented on the event.
