Vladimir Putin signed a law that introduces criminal liability in the form of a prison sentence of up to eight years for falsifying and marketing medical certificates confirming the absence of diseases that pose a threat to the environment. The Act supplements the Penal Code with a new article 235.2 (“Forgery and circulation of official documents confirming the absence of diseases posing a threat to the environment”).
