The traditional inclusive concert “We are children of the same river” took place in the Big Concert Hall of the Krasnoyarsk Regional Philharmonic.

The event is being held for the 11th time and brings together children with disabilities from the Krasnoyarsk Territory, their families, professional artists and spectators. Organizers: Krasnoyarsk regional public organization for supporting disabled children “SHIELD” and SUEK-Krasnoyarsk.

More than 80 children with disabilities took part in the concert. The group “Yakhont”, the ensemble “Volnitsa”, the creative center “Magic Microphone” and other groups performed together with them. In total, about 600 people participated in the program. More than a thousand children and hundreds of adults from different parts of the region were present in the auditorium.

“This is a very significant project for our guys. When they immerse themselves in creativity, prepare for performances, they feel better, they forget about their ailments. Children are completely devoted to art. Year by year the level of performances is growing, this year the guys gave us a magical concert that is difficult to describe in words,” noted the head of the public organization “SHIELD” Nadezhda Kulikova.

Over 11 years, dozens of children have become participants in the project. Brothers Nikita and Timofey Egorov, known for their participation in television projects and performances at federal venues, began participating in a concert organized by SHIELD and SUEK-Krasnoyarsk. This year they closed the program together with the “Melody of Hands” team led by Oksana Sokolovskaya. On the eve of the performance, the brothers fell ill.

In their social networks, Nikita and Timofey Egorov said: “We were standing in front of the exit and such jitters, because there were a lot of people there: organizers, spectators. They came and waited. We went out, saw smiles in the hall, heard live music – and it was as if we forgot about everything. The autopilot has turned on, or the soul has turned on. And the adrenaline hit. We worked as if we weren’t sick at all.”

In addition to the concert, SUEK-Krasnoyarsk and the SHIELD organization hold New Year's carnivals for children, summer cruises along the Yenisei and the Heart to Heart festival.
