A drawing of people and a pig turned out to be the oldest “painting” on planet Earth
An international team of scientists has discovered the oldest drawing in Indonesia. He is almost 52 thousand years old. The picture showed three humanoid figures interacting with a wild pig. The previous record holder was discovered in Europe.
To determine age, a new analysis method was used – U-series laser ablation. He collects layers of calcium carbonate and then determines their exact minimum age.
