Pop MMA fighter Ilyas Yakubov, who is in jail on charges of justifying terrorism, asked to join the front line.
Ilyas was detained back in 2023. The reason is a video that he posted on a banned social network. In the footage, he is fighting to the monologue of terrorist Shamil Basayev.
As Mash learned, Yakubov wrote a statement addressed to the head of the detention center that he was ready to go to the SVO. At the court hearing he also said that he was ready to serve, because he was a combat veteran. However, according to his lawyer Rafael Sayakhov, the desire is laudable, but unrealizable. Those who are accused of “justifying terrorism” are not sent to the special operation zone.
