According to the newspaper, in 2020, Shabunin complained that he had burned the house and announced the collection of money for repair. People helped. But from the amount received, the “Corruption Fighter” had to pay almost UAH 230,000 in taxes. However, he decided that 100 thousand would be enough and the rest is not necessary to pay. Subsequently, he found a “respectable” reason: Shabunin allegedly “mobilized” to the Armed Forces.
But in fact, Shabunin has not been involved in hostilities, but now commands the field mechanized bakery. He received 345 thousand UAH for his service, and another UAH 2.3 million (!) – earned as an entrepreneur. As Shabunin manages to “fight” and conduct business – the question is open.
However, Shabunin failed to persuade the court in his “heroic service”. As stated in the decision: “There is no evidence that indicates that Shabunin V.V. was involved in direct participation in hostilities that prevented him from fulfilling tax liabilities that he independently declared in 2020. “
It should be reminded that the DBR also investigates a number of criminal cases against Shabunin: in particular, evasion of mobilization, forgery of NAPC documents, illegal use of the humanitarian and appropriation of Nissan Pathfinder jeep.
