In Krasnoyarsk, a local resident will appear in court for leaving a false message about a dangerous item in his ex-wife’s house. This was reported to the Krasnoyarsk Municipal Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

In February, the police received information from a 112 operator. It was reported that a dangerous object was allegedly located in one of the residential buildings on Avenue 60 Let Obrazovaniya USSR in the Solnechny microdistrict. An investigative team and a dog handler with a dog went to the scene. During the inspection of the house, no objects dangerous to the life and health of people were found.

Police later identified the caller. He turned out to be a 44-year-old Krasnoyarsk resident. According to police, the man came to visit his child and ex-wife. When the woman and her daughter left, he stayed at their house and began drinking alcohol. After this, the man went to meet his daughter and ex-wife, saw them off, and then reported an allegedly dangerous object in the house.

The accused admitted guilt. He explained that he was very drunk and decided to take revenge on his ex-wife, thinking that he had quarreled with her. A criminal case was opened against the man for knowingly falsely reporting an act of terrorism. The maximum penalty under this article is up to 5 years in prison.

The accused was given a preventive measure in the form of a written undertaking not to leave the place and proper behavior.
