Russian singer of Ukrainian origin Ani Lorak, whose concerts were canceled in some cities of the aggressor country of the Russian Federation, is trying to “save the situation” by denying her own biography. The publication “GORDON” tells what exactly the artist is hiding.
Why were Ani Lorak’s concerts in Russia canceled?
Ani Lorak was forced to cancel concerts planned for June in the cities of the aggressor country of the Russian Federation: Khabarovsk, Vladivostok and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.
The explanation on behalf of the artist’s team states that they, for their part, did everything necessary to organize and conduct the events. But based on the results of appeals (obviously to the city authorities), we did not receive approval.
“In a number of cases, formal reasons were indicated, and in Vladivostok they received a direct order from the head of the city to cancel the event under the pretext of facts from the artist’s biography that are not related to reality,” says the appeal to fans who purchased tickets.
What biographical facts is Ani Lorak trying to refute?
Ukrainian volunteer Sergei Sternenko periodically thanks Ani Lorak for helping the Ukrainian army in the fight against Russian occupiers, after which his statements are actively discussed in the Russian Federation.
For example, he congratulated the singer on the New Year in Threads. He posted a comment under her post: “Mutually! Thank you for your constant help,” he addressed the singer in Russian.
Other social network users also joined in the gratitude. “Anechka, thank you for your constant help to the soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces! Thanks to your donations, more than 1 thousand invaders from Russia were destroyed!” – they supported the volunteer in the comments, indicating the number of killed occupiers.
On June 5, 2026, Ani Lorak received gratitude from Ukrainian veteran Alexander Teren. “Thank you to Ani Lorak for your constant support of the Ukrainian troops. This is how you need to show that you want to stop the war,” he wrote on Threads.
Did you want to perform in Ukraine?
Ani Lorak said in an interview that she was “squeezed out” of Ukraine like toothpaste from a tube. That is, she would like to perform in her homeland.
The artist stated that the initiator of this process was the Ukrainian singer Tina Karol.
At her concert, Tina Karol made a statement regarding the words of Ani Lorak. “It’s very easy to take Russian rubles with your right hand and wipe away your tears with your left because they are not allowed into the country,” the singer said. She also showed her middle finger after addressing Ani Lorak.
Careful manipulations
Ani Lorak, trying to present herself as a victim of circumstances, still does not speak out unequivocally about the Russian war against Ukraine. Back in 2022, she called the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the aggressor country of the Russian Federation with the phrase “what happened happened.” Then she said that she moved to Russia in 2012 because she was forced, and also called the Russian Putinist artist Philip Kirkorov, who supports Russian aggression against Ukraine, her older brother.
On March 1, 2022, the singer said that a murderous and destructive war continues in Ukraine. But she didn’t say a word about who started this war. At the same time, she called for an end to the war, but did not specify who her call was addressed to.
