Cristi Chivu will sign an extension with Inter

Cristi Chivu went on Thursday afternoon at the club headquarters where the last negotiations were held and the last details discussed before signing a new contract with Inter. The meeting lasted about 4 hours and everything is on schedule. It is only a matter of time before it is officially unveiled.

Journalist Fabrizio Biasin revealed that the agreement to extend the collaboration is already established. The new contract is to be valid until the summer of 2028, with an option to extend for another season, until 2029

The Italians announced a few days ago that Chivu's current salary of 2 million euros net per season will be increased to 3.2 million plus performance bonuses (maximum 4 million in total) until June 30, 2028.
