The explosion of the maritime drone blocked access to the Port of Constanța. Huge queues of trucks were formed

The road to Constanța Port, in the Agigea area, was blocked on Friday, after the explosion of the maritime drone discovered in Dana 78. Video images published by Constanța 100% on Facebook capture a column of trucks formed on the Agigea bridge, while access to the port is restricted.

The measures were taken in the context of the operations carried out by the authorities after the incident in the port, where a maritime drone self-detonated during the morning.
In parallel, throughout the day, the authorities ordered preventive evacuations in several coastal areas. More than 1,000 people were removed from the beaches of Constanța and Tulcea. Approximately 300 people were evacuated from Costinești, 50 from Tuzla, 355 from Eforie Nord and Eforie Sud and approximately 400 from the Saturn – Venus – Cap Aurora area.
In Tulcea county, another 100 people were evacuated from the Sulina beach, 50 from Sfântu Gheorghe and 50 from the Gura Portiței area.
Also, the waterfront of the Casino in Constanța and the office buildings in the Peninsula area – Piața Ovidiu and Valea Portului were evacuated, and access to the beaches was restricted by the Local Police.
The authorities announced that, starting at 15.00, the evacuation measures of the coastal area cease to be applied. However, the population is advised to remain cautious and call the emergency number 112 in case of observing suspicious objects.
