Since the beginning of the year, 105 bicycle thefts have been registered in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. This was reported to the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
The police managed to solve 41 crimes. Most often, bicycles were stolen from the entrances of residential buildings. 56 thefts were recorded there. Another 24 cases occurred on the streets. The police note that general statistics show a decrease in crime in this area. To search for stolen bicycles, investigators check online bulletin boards and pawn shops.
To avoid becoming a victim of theft, owners are advised not to store bicycles in common areas of entrances. It is also worth using reliable anti-theft agents that are difficult to use with a bolt cutter. In addition, police recommend writing down the serial number of the bicycle in advance. This will help confirm ownership if the stolen equipment is found.
