June 4 7:28

Two Norilsk boys, who were attacked by a pack of stray dogs, climbed Mount Schmidtikha to escape from them. From there, employees of a separate battalion of the PPSP police regiment helped evacuate them.

Let us remind you that everything happened on June 2, when schoolchildren were walking in the area of the memorial complex. There they were bitten by dogs, as a result of which one received serious injuries. The victims independently sought help, reporting the incident to the rescue service.

“Arriving at the scene and climbing the mountain, the police found two teenagers aged 12 and 13 years. One of them had minor abrasions, the other had lacerations on both legs and was unable to walk on his own. As it turned out, the guys had to climb up to escape the unexpected attack of four aggressive animals. The police decided to independently take the victim down to the doctors waiting at the foot of the mountain. The patrolmen carried the child in their arms and, together with the rescuers, handed the children over to the ambulance team,” said official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation Irina Volk and shared footage from the scene.

Now the life and health of the boys are not in danger; they are under the supervision of doctors.

Based on the fact of the incident, a criminal case was initiated on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Art. 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (provision of services that do not meet safety requirements). Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Alexander Bastrykin requested a report on the progress of the investigation and the established circumstances regarding the activities of those responsible for catching and keeping stray animals in Norilsk.
