Nicușor Dan has announced what time he will announce the name of the designated prime minister

President Nicușor Dan will announce, at 6:00 p.m., who is the designated prime minister. It is expected that the president will announce the name of Eugen Tomac, the MEP and his honorary adviser, Eugen Tomac, will be mandated to form a Government.

  • The President's remarks will be broadcast LIVETEXT on HotNews.

NicușorDan is decided to go ahead with Eugen Tomac as prime minister, official sources told HotNews, who explained that now the president no longer wants him to secure a majority before the official announcement.

After the nomination, Eugen Tomac will have to negotiate with each party separately to see whether or not he can gather a solid majority.

The constitution says that he has 10 days from the moment of the proposal to draw up the government program and the list of ministers.

The Constitution also says that “at most 10 days after the appointment, the vote in Parliament takes place”, that is, the confidence vote in which Tomac must collect at least 233 votes in order to install the Government he proposes. Parliamentary mathematics is difficult, in his case.
