Daniel Naroditsky, chess grandmaster and well-known chess commentator, died at only 29 years old, writes News.ro.
“The Naroditsky family is saddened to announce the unexpected news of Daniel's passing,” Naroditsky's club, the Charlotte Chess Center, said in a statement on Monday.
“Daniel was a talented chess player, educator and beloved member of the chess community. Please respect the family's privacy at this time of mourning.”

Daniel Naroditsky, who grew up in the Bay Area of California, distinguished himself in the chess community from an early age, winning the Under 12 section of the World Youth Chess Championship in 2007.
He published a book, Mastering Positional Chess, in 2010 at the age of 14.
In 2013, he won the US Junior Championship, and at the end of the year he obtained the title of grandmaster.
In 2014, he received the Samford Chess Fellowship, one of the most important awards for young American chess masters.
Over the next decade, Naroditsky continued to compete in the US Chess Championships and was regularly ranked among the top 200 players in the world.
Naroditsky also had over 484,000 subscribers on his YouTube channel, where he broadcast his chess matches live, accompanied by commentary. On October 17, he posted his last video to his account – his first in weeks – after telling his followers he was “taking a creative break”.
