UPDATE at 18:00 » The national champion trophy is in the BTarena

The Romanian Basketball Federation prepared the two trophies intended for the LNBM champion and vice-champion, as well as the medals. They were positioned behind the official table and are admired by the few spectators who arrived at the hall an hour before the match.

The games in Oradea were extremely balanced: the hosts won the first game by 3 points (87-84), while the visitors won the second game by 5 points (88-83). Instead, the first duel in Cluj was very unbalanced, being totally dominated by U-BT.

Mihai Silvășan's students started strongly and led 8-1. The visitors came back and came within a point, but the black and whites continued to play at a fast pace and with an intensity superior to their opponents.

Daron Russell, Mitch Creek and Trey Woodbury were the hosts' main weapons, who won 103-78 and took the overall score to 2-1. So, tonight's showdown, which will start at 19:00, can close the series and secure another national title for U-BT.

Instead, if CSM Oradea will produce the surprise in BTarena, then the series will return to Oradea, where on Sunday, June 7, the decisive match of the final will take place.

BTarena is sold-out for match 4

As in match 3 and as in the first two games in Oradea, the organizers have announced that the hall will be sold-out, so around 10,000 spectators are expected in the Multipurpose Hall.

Considering the day of the match and the overall score of the series, the Oradeans will no longer come in such large numbers as they did on Monday, June 1, when they filled two sectors of the upper ring of the BTarena.

After match 3, Mihai Silvășan, U-BT's coach, sent a warningstating that the streak isn't over and that his students need to stay grounded. On the other side, Cristian Achim, the technician of Oradea, declared that he keeps his hope in his team's chances, admitting, however, that few things can change from a tactical point of view.

In February, the long-time coach of CSM Oradea announced that, at the end of this season, he will leave the technical bench of the team. Therefore, there is a possibility that this match will be the last in the coaching career of Achim, who will occupy a position in the management structure of the Bihorean club.
