The court of the aggressor country of Russia has sentenced the daughter of a confidant of the illegitimate Russian President Vladimir Putin. The Mediazona publication wrote about this on June 2 with reference to the Pervomaisky District Court of Kirov.
The verdict was handed down on May 14, and came into force two weeks later. 28-year-old Alexandra Pugach was sentenced in absentia to six years in prison and three and a half years of deprivation of the right to administer websites. In the Russian Federation, she appeared in the case of “military fakes” and “calls against state security.”
Alexandra Pugach is the daughter of the rector of Vyatka State University (VyatSU) Valentin Pugach. At the last presidential elections in the Russian Federation, he was Putin’s confidant from the Kirov region. After Russia unleashed a full-scale war in Ukraine, the girl left for Georgia and completely stopped communicating with her father, the media write.
The opening of a criminal case against Alexandra Pugach in January 2026 was reported by the Perm 36.6 publication. The reason for this was a speech at an anti-war rally in Georgia, where she called for help in Ukraine and donations to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
On Instagram, Alexandra Pugach commented on the verdict. She indicated that she received a sentence in absentia for opposing the war in Ukraine and not keeping silent about the war crimes of the Russian occupiers. She noted that she would continue to support Ukraine, the Ukrainian military and Ukrainian refugees, and called on other Russians who are safe to do the same.
“Ukraine is fighting not only for its freedom and independence. Today, Ukrainians are resisting the evil that is destroying not only Ukraine, but also Russia itself. I am convinced: if a person sincerely wishes Russia democratic changes and a free future, he must help Ukraine. Therefore, I continue to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukraine and with all my heart I wish her victory,” Pugach wrote on the social network.
