Krasnoyarsk is looking for a new designer for the overhaul of Karl Marx Street

Bidding has been announced again on the government procurement website to find a contractor to carry out design and survey work and developing a concept for the improvement of Karl Marx Street in Krasnoyarsk.

A major overhaul of one of the main highways of the city center is planned to be carried out on a 3.8 km long section – from Vokzalnaya Street to Belinsky (bridge over Kacha).

The terms of reference indicate that a bicycle path and parking for scooters should appear on Karl Marx Street, and when designing pedestrian paths, it is necessary to use a covering made of prefabricated elements (tiles, paving stones, etc.), to provide an accessible environment for people with disabilities.

The winning bidder will also have to develop lighting schemes and comprehensive landscaping of the space. Electrical wires and other utilities must be removed underground, and it is also necessary to arrange lawns, flower beds, and plant trees and shrubs.

It is also necessary to take into account the placement of small architectural forms, including: benches, park sofas, garden chairs, tables, pergolas, rock gardens and decorative arches for hanging plants.

The initial price of the contract is 32.5 million rubles. The results of the competition will be announced at the end of June.

Let us recall that a similar purchase was already announced in the summer of 2025 for 26.9 million rubles. The contract was concluded for a smaller amount, 24.8 million rubles, with a Novosibirsk company, but then it was terminated. According to the new purchase, The main street overhaul project must be ready by February 1, 2027.

It should be noted that the main city streets are getting a new look for the 400th anniversary of Krasnoyarsk. The plans include not just repairing roads and sidewalks, but creating walking spaces.
