Donald Tusk mentioned the names of three Poles. “They conquered the world”

In his Tuesday speech, the Prime Minister referred to concerns related to the development of new technologies, especially artificial intelligence.
– We know well – I have already mentioned this – that we have talents. Poland is quite a unique place. I mentioned names such as Mati Staniszewski (president of ElevenLabs), Jarosław Królewski (president of Synerise), Rafał Modrzewski (president of Iceye) – I am talking about very young people who, one could say, have conquered the world – pointed out the Prime Minister.
At the same time, the head of government drew attention to the burning problem of brain drain. Many local experts have so far developed their careers outside their homeland.
“Artificial intelligence was largely the domain of Polish scientists and innovators. They realized their dreams and plans abroad — this is a problem we have to deal with. If we are talking about technological sovereignty, we must be able to retain the people who will create it,” noted Donald Tusk.
Man is the master of technology, not its tool
The head of government also added that every invention – including artificial intelligence – raises both hopes and fears. He emphasized that the basis here is to indicate that people are supposed to use the new tools, not them – us.

As he argued, The only chance in the confrontation with pessimistic visions of the future related to the development of AI is to skillfully use its capabilities and prevent artificial intelligence from using people as a tool. For this to happen, we need well-educated, resilient, conscious relationships between technology and people – young people.
Digital revolution in Polish schools. Equipment deliveries have started
The Prime Minister also announced enormous financial support for educational institutions across the country and the creation of AI laboratories. The project budget is nearly PLN 2 billion (the funds come mainly from European funds). It will be equipped with professional artificial intelligence laboratories up to 8 thousand primary schools and 4 thousand secondary schools.
The head of government noted that deliveries of equipment to schools have already started and will end in the second half of July. Each such innovative workshop will be equipped with a laptop, a central unit for AI, directory and file services, an AP network device with WiFi and other necessary elements so that children learn to control these modern tools from an early age.
