The results of the electronic preliminary voting of United Russia were summed up by the secretary of the Krasnoyarsk regional branch of the party, the governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Mikhail Kotyukov, during a meeting of the regional organizing committee.
He noted that this year the procedure turned 17 years old and was carried out in all regions of the country. According to the voting results, the Krasnoyarsk Territory was among the leading regions; almost 250 thousand people took part in the selection of party candidates for the upcoming elections. Any resident of the region could take part in the vote and choose candidates who will represent the party in elections to the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Legislative Assembly and elections to local government bodies. The final turnout compared to similar elections in 2021 increased by an average of 90 thousand people.
“First of all, I want to thank the residents of the Krasnoyarsk Territory who took part in the voting. Everyone’s opinion is very important to us for the further formation of the party team in the upcoming autumn elections. Today we understand who really enjoys trust. The most important stage lies ahead—the election campaign. Each winner of the preliminary vote must justify the credit of trust by working with voters,” noted Mikhail Kotyukov.
Members of the organizing committee recorded the final protocols, on the basis of which lists of candidates for deputies will be formed, taking into account the results of the preliminary voting. The final list of candidates will be nominated by the regional party conference in July. A total of 403 candidates took part in the procedure for different levels of elections. Traditionally, men showed greater interest in politics; among the participants, 69% were men, 59% of participants had higher education, and 18% of participants were under 35 years old. The highest competition took place in the preliminary voting for elections to the regional parliament; the competition was 6 people per seat. Experienced politicians and current deputies competed against social activists, volunteers, youth and SVO participants.
Residents of the country could watch the vote count live. All results are promptly published on the website pg.er.ru. No serious violations were recorded, the procedure was recognized as successful. The organizing committee also approved the final protocols for the formation of party lists of candidates. Please note that any voter will be able to check their ballot using an individual electronic key, which is not available to the organizers of the procedure.
