If in the morning your hands seem swollen, your fingers have difficulty bending, and habitual movements are strained, you should not immediately look for special braces or sign up for procedures. One simple trick is enough. It is performed without getting out of bed and does not require any equipment.
What to do:
- Stay in a horizontal position with your arms extended along your body, palms down.
- Raise your forearms, bend your elbows at right angles and turn your hands up.
- Slowly make circular movements, starting with a minimum amplitude and gradually expanding it.
- Maintain the rhythm for twenty seconds, making sure it is smooth and not jerky.
- Perform three cycles, alternating the direction of rotation.
This practice gently distributes joint fluid, relieves tissue swelling at night, restores sensitivity in the fingertips and prepares the grip for everyday tasks. It is most convenient to start the session before getting up. You will spend no more than two minutes, but by noon your brushes will work freely, and morning stiffness will disappear without a trace.
