A resident of the Ermakovsky district used someone else’s card for purchases and was subject to criminal charges.

In the Ermakovsky district, police uncovered the theft of money from a pensioner’s bank card. The incident was reported to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
A 68-year-old man contacted the police and reported that funds had been illegally withdrawn from his account. During the investigation, law enforcement officers determined that a 49-year-old local resident may be involved in the crime.
According to law enforcement officials, the attacker found a lost bank card near one of the residential buildings in the village of Ermakovskoye. He then used it to pay for purchases, including food and alcohol. The total amount of damage exceeded 10 thousand rubles.
The investigator opened a criminal case under Part 3 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Theft”. The defendant was given a preventive measure in the form of a written undertaking not to leave the place and proper behavior.
The police remind you that if you lose your bank card, you must block it as quickly as possible to avoid unauthorized debiting of funds.
