The Polish army will gain 48 new Rosomaks. Contracts worth PLN 78 billion in three days

On Saturday, further contracts under SAFE were signed at the Rosomak SA plant in Siemianowice Śląskie – this time for specialized versions of Rosomak transporters. In three days, we spent more in Polish industry than our predecessors did in 8 years – said Deputy Prime Minister, head of the Ministry of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.
On Saturday afternoon, Kosiniak-Kamysz, together with, among others, plenipotentiary for SAFE, Magdalena Sobkowiak-Czarnecka, and deputy head of MAP, Konrad Gołota, visited the Rosomak plant in Siemianowice Śląskie, where the head of the Armament Agency responsible for purchases for the army, Gen. Artur Kuptel, signed further contracts financed from SAFE for equipment for the Polish Army.
This time, the contracts concern the delivery of specialized versions of Rosomak wheeled armored personnel carriers — 30 vehicles adapted for medical evacuation and 18 command vehicles, adapted, among others, to manage the army and maintain appropriately encrypted communication and exchange of information with other units on the battlefield.
This is the finale of the “first stage of the Tour de SAFE”, i.e. a tour of armaments plants scattered around the country by the government delegation, which has been ongoing since Thursday and the signing of further contracts financed by SAFE there, said Kosiniak-Kamysz.
Earlier, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz announced that 29 contracts would be signed on Saturday as part of the SAFE program. The announcement by the head of the Ministry of National Defense took place in Nowa Dęba in Podkarpacie. According to Kosiniak-Kamysz, this is an unprecedented event in the modernization activities of the Polish army to date. 29 contracts will be signed for a total amount of PLN 78 billion.
The head of the Ministry of National Defense attacks previous governments
– It will not end today – we will continue to conduct a positive campaign to dispel the lies and nonsense told about SAFE – said the head of the Ministry of National Defense, accusing the opposition and President Karol Nawrocki of misleading public opinion regarding the EU program.
According to the head of the Ministry of National Defence, the previous PiS governments spent approximately PLN 100 billion in the Polish arms industry during their eight years in power. – This is PLN 20 billion less than we received today in three days – he said, pointing to the benefits of new orders for the Polish army and the simultaneous investment of this money in Polish plants. – This is a political indictment against my predecessors – he noted.
As he said, if it were not for the Polish presidency of the EU in 2025, “if it were not for Polish strength and agency, there would be no program to arm Europe today with European money.” He added that SAFE is a form of response to the US call for Europe to arm itself and take greater responsibility for its own military security.
He thanked the military commanders for carrying out the program – including the Chief of the General Staff, General Wiesław Kukula, the head of the Army, General Kuptel, and the General Commander, General Marek Sokołowski, as well as his colleagues from the Ministry of National Defense and the government, including deputy heads of the ministry, Sobkowiak-Czarnecka and Gołota, as well as Prime Minister Donald Tusk, as well as representatives and employees of the Polish arms industry for their readiness to quickly implement it. orders.
