The incident took place around 10:30. A call to 112 indicated that a patient became aggressive in the UPU area and allegedly destroyed a printer, according to IPJ Botoşani.
The crew that arrived at the scene quickly identified the recalcitrant man and determined that he was extremely nervous because he believed that he was not receiving emergency medical care, despite the head injury, reports the Botosanean.
Local sources reported that the patient would be “jump to the beat” and would have broken equipment, but the police officially confirm only the damage to the printer.
The police initially opened a criminal case for the destruction, but following the checks, the investigations were extended for the disturbance of public order and peace, and the man was detained for 24 hours.
“Through his conduct, he violated the dignity of the persons involved and disturbed public order and peace,” stated IPJ Botoșani.
We remind you that, in 2024, a patient transported by ambulance to the Vaslui County Emergency Hospital (SJU) caused a scandal and destroyed medical equipment, furniture and medicines in the Emergency Reception Unit.
This year, a patient hospitalized at the Săpoca Psychiatry and Safety Measures Hospital allegedly became violent suddenly and assaulted two employees of the medical unit. The two suffered injuries and were transported to another hospital for medical attention.
