The newspaper “Birobidzhan Star” (12+) on May 30, 1935 informed its readers that the first organizational plenum of the newly elected city party committee would take place in the building of the House of Soviets.

In the “News in Brief” section, the newspaper wrote that a technical outpatient clinic for prosthetics was opening at the city outpatient clinic on June 2, and a regional X-ray room was opening at the hospital.

In David Vayserman’s book “Birobidzhan: Dreams and Tragedy” (12+), information was published that on May 30, 1944, in the newspapers “Pravda” (12+) and “Tikhoficheskaya Zvezda” (12+), on the initiative of Bakhmutsky, a telegram from the regional party committee and the regional executive committee was published to Stalin, which indicated that the workers of the Jewish Autonomous Region had collected a fund to help children affected by German occupiers 1 million 662 thousand rubles. This telegram also contained a request to organize two orphanages for Jewish orphans in the region.

The bureau of the regional party committee and the executive committee of the regional Council of Workers' Deputies considered the issue of awarding titles to the best livestock breeders in the region.
Based on the results of work in 1945, the leading workers in state and collective farm livestock breeding were awarded the following titles: “Best milkmaid” – V.P. Pisarevskaya, L. E. Erokhina, P. A. Diskina and others, “Best pig farm” – D. G. Dudkina, V. A. Chernysh, A. V. Meleshko, “Best collective farm livestock breeder” – M. P. Gabruk, N. I. Smarunsky, B. Z. Meizlin, E. P. Rakitin. It was decided to award all those awarded these titles with Certificates of Honor from the regional party committee and the regional executive committee.

The plenum of the regional party committee discussed the state and measures to improve mass political work in the regional party organization. It was noted that recently party organizations have somewhat improved their mass political work. The number of agitators increased from 1.9 thousand to 4 thousand people. In the adopted resolution, the plenum obliged the city committee and district party committees to expand mass political work among the working people of the region in order to mobilize them for the early implementation of the 1950 plan. The plenum also discussed the issue “On measures to develop local industry and industrial cooperation in the Khabarovsk Territory in 1950-1951.”

On this day at the Birobidzhan Regional Universal Library named after. Sholom Aleichem, the Department of Justice of the Administration of the Jewish Autonomous Region registered the Demeter Club. The club was created with the goal of gathering enthusiastic and life-loving workers in gardening plots. The objectives of the club were: exchange of experience between members, exchange of seeds and materials, learn something new and share experience in growing plants.

The newspaper “Birobidzhan Star” (12+) on May 30, 1964 wrote on its pages about the long-standing passion for the fine arts of Mikhail Radionovich Asmanovsky. Mikhail became interested in drawing from childhood; he did not have to study drawing, but in his youth he took part in a competition on Sakhalin and took first place; local artists predicted a great future.
“In the auditorium of the club in the village of Aur there is a large canvas “Storm of Volochaevka”, which was created by Mikhail Rodionovich. Mikhail Rodionovich is a permanent full-time artist of the factory wall newspaper. The amateur artist has a lot of different works, these are portraits, landscapes and everyone’s favorite caricatures.”

The newspaper “Birobidzhan Star” wrote on May 30, 1965 that a children's mobile cinema for preschool children and first-graders began operating in the regional center. The mobile cinema was affectionately nicknamed “Baby”, the driver and projectionist – Arkady Galimov.
“The bus is beautiful, on the outside of the bus there are various pictures from familiar fairy tales, and inside there is a real auditorium. The first mobile cinema in the Jewish Autonomous Region has already visited 20 kindergartens. On weekends, the Malyutka bus serves the cultural park, and on weekdays – kindergartens.”
