Rostelecom in Siberia announced the results of the regional stage of the XV competition “Together into the Digital Future”, which is held annually throughout the country and is dedicated to events in the telecommunications industry, technological trends and innovations. Among the winners are journalists from the Republic of Khakassia and the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
The work “Robots work hard, happy people! Or have you seen the BelAZ drone?” Valentina Korzunova, a journalist for the Chernogorsk Rabochiy newspaper, became the best in the Print Press category. The material is devoted to how a modern 220-ton BelAZ transports rock without a driver in the cab.
“Such equipment works at the Izykhsky open-pit mine in Khakassia. There, for several years now, a program has been implemented to introduce drones into the production process. And this became a pilot project in Russia – the transportation of rock was entrusted to robots. My material is about the difficult path that engineers and software developers for machines take,” said the winner of the regional stage of the “Together into the Digital Future – 2026” competition, Valentina Korzunova.
In the “Television and Video Content in the Media” category, first place was taken by Elvira Efimova with the story “Digitized Student,” aired on the Yenisei TV channel. In her work, she talks about how agricultural education is undergoing a digital revolution, and virtual reality is helping to train specialists of the new generation.
“On television I host the program “About Our Daily Bread”. Every year there are more and more reasons to create stories about the digitalization of the agricultural sector. This suggests that the industry in our region is developing successfully, and farm enterprises and educational institutions that train people to work in the fields are increasingly introducing innovations,” shared the winner of the regional stage of the “Together into the Digital Future – 2026” competition, Elvira Efimova.
In total, 17 journalists and bloggers from the Krasnoyarsk Territory and Khakassia took part in the competition this year. Together they submitted more than 40 materials to the competition – publications in print and electronic media, posts on social networks, radio and television programs.
As part of the competition, Rostelecom organized several training webinars for the media community. In particular, company representatives spoke about the work of a dynamic IT infrastructure, immersed them in the video game industry using the example of the Rostelecom Games platform, and also introduced them to automated process control systems. Information received from experts formed the basis for many publications.
“It’s great that every year new topics appear in the competition entries: the development of modern software, digitalization of remote villages, robots, artificial intelligence. This means that journalists closely monitor current phenomena in the digital world, keep up with the pace of technology development and try to tell their readers about them,” said Daria Ustyuzhanina, associate professor of the Department of Journalism and Media Linguistics at SibFU, member of the jury of the “Together into the Digital Future” competition.
“It’s nice to see that the competition is attracting more and more strong, talented authors. Journalists and bloggers from Yenisei Siberia don’t just talk about technology, but show how digital solutions change people’s lives, the work of enterprises and entire industries. It is such materials that help make complex topics understandable and relatable to a wide audience,” summed up the director of the Krasnoyarsk branch of Rostelecom, Alexey Usatov.
In total, about 200 materials were submitted by Siberians this year. The participants who took first place in the region will go to Moscow in July, where Rostelecom will sum up the results of the federal stage. The winners of the final of the “Together into a Digital Future” competition will go to the Arctic in August 2026.
