The European Commission has fined the Temu platform. The giant will pay a large fine


The e-commerce website will pay up to A €200 million fine for violating the provisions of the EU's landmark Digital Services Act (DSA).

The Brussels investigation showed that the company flagrantly disregarded the obligation to reliably control and assess the risk associated with the flood of illegal activities and dangerous products that end up in the hands of European consumers every day.

According to Brussels the risk assessment reports presented by the Chinese platform for 2024 deviated drastically from the standards required by the DSA. Instead of a reliable analysis of its own ecosystem, the company relied on general information about the entire e-commerce sector, ignoring public reports and test results.
