The individual is now in the custody of the authorities, and the magistrates will decide whether he will be remanded in custody or investigated at large.

The incident, which took place a few days ago in a heavily trafficked area of Bucharest, was captured by the victims with their mobile phones. In the images, it can be seen how the man becomes extremely aggressive and rips off the registration number of the car.

“Lock the car, please! Now he's taking the number from the car. He's taken the number from the car! It's a gentleman with a mask on his face!”, can be heard in the footage of the two women.

The main victim, a 40-year-old woman, claims that the assault was completely unprovoked. She explained that she had only stopped the car for a few minutes on the bike path because there was no other place in the area where she could park.

According to his statements, the cyclist was on the sidewalk, next to the bicycle, when the conflict began. In the filmed images, the man's violent behavior can be seen, including the moment when he rips off the license plate and leaves the scene.

He was cursing us, he was giving us a nasty look. Then he went ahead, we went behind him, I wanted to film him. He put on the brakes. I also put on the brakes and we stopped into each other. He came to my window. He ran over me into the car.” the driver told the Observer.

She mentioned that when she got out of the car to check if the car was intact, the individual allegedly punched her in the face.
