1 pinch – and chlorinated water becomes a healing “cocktail”: this is how to water indoor flowers

Experienced gardeners know that tap water carries a hidden threat to indoor plants. Even with the right soil and fertilizers, flowers can wither due to chlorine, salts and heavy metals, which poison the soil and block the absorption of nutrition.

However, one budget component softens water, neutralizes harmful substances and helps avoid several problems at once:

  • white coating on the ground;
  • leaf chlorosis;
  • root diseases.

This water improves the absorption of nutrients and heals plants. Only healthy specimens can fully grow and bloom, says an experienced florist, author of the blog “Your Flower” (18+).

How to prepare and use

Take 5 liters of tap water that has been standing for at least 24 hours (no need to boil, since boiling kills oxygen and destroys useful compounds). Add a pinch of citric acid and stir thoroughly.

Water the plants with this solution whenever necessary. Prepare a fresh batch before each watering—do not store leftovers.

With regular use of the method, even weakened flowers will be transformed and will delight you with flowering. The product is suitable for all types of indoor crops.

Personal experience

For a long time I could not understand why my violets look lethargic, although I regularly feed them and put them in the brightest place. It turned out that it was all about hard tap water.

As soon as I started adding citric acid, the white coating on the soil disappeared, and the leaves began to shine with health. Now I water all my flowers with this solution, and they grow strong, bloom magnificently and no longer get sick.
