Seedlings of unregistered varieties were sold in the Krasnoyarsk Territory

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Rosselkhoznadzor detected the sale of seedlings of varieties that are not in the State Register. This was reported by the department's regional department.
From May 18 to May 22, specialists checked six retail outlets in Krasnoyarsk and the Sosnovoborsky District, where seedlings of fruit and berry crops were sold. Violations were found in each of them.
A total of 75 batches of apple and pear seedlings were examined. Of these, 31 batches consisted of varieties and hybrids not registered in the State Register. So, on the 10th kilometer of the Yenisei highway, near the road to Krasnoyarsk, an entrepreneur was selling 5 lots of apple seedlings and 2 lots of pears of unregistered varieties from a Gazelle. In addition, the seedlings were not marked.
A similar violation was detected in Berezovka. There, near house No. 7 on Traktovaya Street, 3 lots of apple trees of unregistered varieties were sold, as well as seed potatoes without markings on the packaging. At the Sakura Branch garden center in the village of Esaulovka, Sosnovoborsky District, specialists found 3 lots of apple trees and 4 lots of pear varieties not included in the State Register. Among the unregistered varieties, apple trees “Belarusskaya Zheltaya”, “Bely Naliv”, “Dekora”, “Borovinka” and pears “Dream”, “Barguzin”, “Aromatic” were sold in retail outlets. Owners of retail outlets were warned against violations.
Since the beginning of the year, Rosselkhoznadzor has conducted 40 on-site inspections of places where seedlings are sold in the region, including at spontaneous and roadside markets. Violations were detected in every inspected outlet.
