Governor Mikhail Kotyukov explained the pause in metro construction in Krasnoyarsk

Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Mikhail Kotyukov spoke about the progress of metro construction in Krasnoyarsk.
He did this during his direct line, answering a listener’s question: “Recently, the construction of the metro has been uneven. What is happening to the metro now?
According to the governor, there are many issues with the metro, including his.
“Today we are building a very complex engineering and technical facility, the easternmost such facility in the country, and the designers had to look for many technical solutions. There are no ready-made solutions. If the metro had already been built in Krasnoyarsk before, then there would have been ready-made solutions. But for us they are still redundant. Taking Moscow design standards is quite expensive; there are still fewer people living in Krasnoyarsk than in Moscow, and such a facility would be very expensive and unnecessary. Therefore, the design institute selected rational solutions that would be optimal specifically for Krasnoyarsk. Unfortunately, this took quite a lot of time. Federal ministries had to create technical regulations specifically for our facility, because there were no ready ones,” the governor explained.
Today, according to Mikhail Kotyukov, the entire line from Vysotnaya to Shakhtyor is provided with design solutions. Technical documentation, cost estimates and regulatory deadlines for the construction of all stages of this facility have been received.
“Taking all this into account, the general contractor has a large number of subcontractors – different organizations work at different stages. And at certain stages of construction, pauses occur, as the general contractor and his partners decide how to technically complete the task. Therefore, every week we hold technical headquarters with the Federal Ministry of Construction, where all relevant specialists look for the necessary solutions. Therefore, at different stages there are different paces of work,” the governor said.

At the same time, he emphasized that from Vysotnaya to Kopylov the contractor is already completing the construction of the second tunnel. A unique dismantling pit is being built on Vysotnaya – there is no other like it in the country, it is 48 meters long and is needed for dismantling tunnel boring systems. During operation, it will be replaced by ventilation and emergency exits from the metro.
“That is, all decisions have already been thought out. The most difficult part is the station at Kopylova, it is located deep and requires more time to work. I expect that the general contractor and his partners will now formulate an up-to-date work plan and we will move on to execution,” said Mikhail Kotyukov.
