Amazon with record investments in the UK. New centers and innovations

Amazon announced that in 2025 it will invest over £15 billion (approx. PLN 81 billion) in Great Britain. Thanks to this, the company remains on track to implement the previously announced plan to allocate a total of GBP 40 billion for investments in this country in 2025-2027.
The company emphasizes that Great Britain is today its third largest market in the world – after the United States and Germany.

New centers, studios and tests of drone deliveries
As part of the investments carried out in 2025, Amazon launched new operational facilities, expanded the production facilities of the studios and enlarged the office space. One of the most innovative projects was also the launch of a pilot delivery program using drones.
The company emphasizes that these activities are intended to strengthen both logistics and the media and technology services segment on the British market, as Reuters writes.

Record revenues and rising taxes
Published data shows that Amazon's total revenues from operations in the UK in 2025 exceeded £30 billion (approx. PLN 152 billion).. At the same time, the company paid over 1.3 billion pounds (approx. PLN 6.6 billion) in taxes, which means an increase of over 20%. compared to 2024.
This amount includes, among others: corporate income tax, real estate tax, social security contributions and digital services tax.
One of the largest private employers
As Amazon reminds in a statement, the company currently employs approximately 75,000. employees in the UK, making it one of the ten largest private employers in the country. Amazon emphasizes that further investments will support the creation of new jobs and the development of local supply chains.
