A teacher from Medgidia, detained by the police after beating a student. The kid would have torn up the paper with the National Assessment results

A 54-year-old teacher, from a school in Medgidia, was detained by the police for allegedly beating a 10-year-old student, after he allegedly tore up the document with the results he obtained at the National Assessment.

The policemen from Medgidia – Criminal Investigation Bureau, under the coordination of the prosecutors, detained a 54-year-old woman, a teacher, suspected of abusive behavior and disturbing public order and peace.
“Thus, on May 26, police officers from the Medgidia Municipality Police were alerted to the fact that, during the morning of May 25, in a classroom in an educational unit in the municipality of Medgidia, a 54-year-old woman allegedly physically assaulted and insulted a 10-year-old minor. The minor, a student in the school, allegedly broke a document with the personal results from the National Assessment, at which time the woman, as a teacher, would have physically assaulted the student, a fact that would have created a state of fear and indignation for the other students, participating in the lesson”, it is stated in the press release sent by IPJ Constanța.
According to the legal provisions, the minor's legal representative was handed a request to address to the court in order to issue a protection order.
The teacher was detained for 24 hours, to be presented on Wednesday to the case prosecutor from the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Medgidia Court, in order to take a preventive measure.
At the level of the Constanța County School Inspectorate, a commission was established that will travel to the school institution.
