The Romanian coach Cristi Chivu (45 years old) is getting closer to signing the new commitment with Inter, the club with which he wrote history last season, when he won the championship in Serie A and the Italian Cup.

During Thursday, a meeting of approximately four hours was held at the headquarters of the champion, during which both aspects related to the team's sports plans and Chivu's contractual situation were discussed.
At the end of the meeting, the parties reached a consensus on the last details of the new agreement, the contract being considered practically “armored”, as noted by the Italian press.

According to the information that appeared in the last hours, the signing of the documents and the official statement are expected in the coming days. Moreover, there is the possibility that the announcement will be made by the president Giuseppe Marotta himself during the Serie A Festival, an event scheduled for Thursday in Parma.
The Italians announced a few days ago that Chivu's current salary of 2 million euros net per season will be increased to 3.2 million plus performance bonuses (maximum 4 million in total) until June 30, 2028.
